OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (AP) — A North Carolina man featured on “America’s Most Wanted” has been arrested in Mississippi.
Ocean Springs Police Chief Lionel Cothern says 32-year-old Nathan Randall Pettigrew was arrested Tuesday at a traffic stop near the home where he lived.
Pettigrew is wanted in Youngsville, N.C., and Raleigh, N.C., for first degree kidnapping, armed robbery, first degree rape, statutory rape, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and injury to personal property.
Cothern says Pettigrew is believed to have been living in Ocean Springs for several years, working in construction.
Police say Pettigrew was using the alias Jason A. Kirkwood.
Pettigrew is being held in the Ocean Springs Municipal Jail on Wednesday.
