BOONEVILLE – Flags on the Northeast Mississippi Community College campus will fly at half-staff from sunrise on Friday until sunset on Saturday in memory of students Cameron Bernal of Iuka and Blake West of the Pine Grove community. Both were recently killed in separate automobile accidents.
Bernal was studying automotive mechanics technology. West studied physical therapy.
“The entire Northeast family is saddened by the loss of two of our freshmen students,” Northeast President Johnny L. Allen said. “Cameron and Blake had their lives cut short, and we extend to their families and friends heartfelt sympathies.
“I have asked our football coaches and players to dedicate this homecoming game to the memory of Cameron and Blake.”
