Lunching With Books

New Albany – Marjorie Livingston will review “Southern Christmas: Literary Classics of the Holiday” for Lunching With Books at noon at Union County Library. Food for the meeting will be recipes prepared by Friends of the Library from the 1953 “Cooking New Albany Style.”

Reflection Lake

New Albany – “Christmas on Reflection Lake,” a free musical and narrative pageant of the life of Jesus Christ, begins at 7 p.m. through Dec. 27 at Gilead Ministries. Midway between New Albany and Oxford on Hwy. 30, turn on C.R. 244, go 31-2 miles, turn onto the Gilead property and follow road to the Conference Center to be seated. Tale Tellers

Pontotoc – The Tale Tellers will meet at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Nutrition Site, 1597 Hwy. 15 North for the program “Christmas Memories” led by Judge Fred Wicker. The public is invited to participate by taking a Christmas memory, and joining members for the meal at 11 a.m.

Lunching With Books

Tupelo – The Friends of Lee County Library will have Lunching With Books at noon Wednesday. Norris “Piggy” Caldwell Jr. of Tupelo will review his book “War and Home.” Sandwiches, dessert and drink may be purchased.

Voices of Poetry’

Tupelo – “Voices of Poetry” will be presented at 7 p.m. Friday at Cleo’s, 136 S. Industrial. Open microphone performances are welcomed.

T-Rex ice hockey

TUPELO – The Tupelo T-Rex Hockey team will play the Austin Ice Bats at 7:07 p.m. Friday and Saturday at BancorpSouth Center. Saturday is a gift giveaway game. Tickets are $18, $14, $10 and $7 with group discounts available; call (662) 844-7825.

Biblical City

Calhoun City – The free 4th Annual Biblical City has been rescheduled for 6-8:30 p.m. Jan. 4-6 at the city walk path featuring 1st century scenes and a passion play. The event is wheelchair accessible, and donations will be accepted. Call (662) 628-6990.

Dancing Stallions’

Starkville – The “World Famous” Lipizzaner Stallions will present the “Dancing White Stallions” at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 18 and 19 at the MSU AgriCenter. Tickets are $16.50 adults and $14.50 for ages 12 and under and ages 60 and over, at Oktibbeha County Co-Op and BeBop Records. Call (662) 325-9350.
