New Pontotoc County officials to take oath

PONTOTOC – Circuit Judge Jimmy Roberts will install 17 people elected to county offices, including four new faces, at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Pontotoc County courtroom.
County officials to be sworn in will hold the positions of chancery clerk, circuit clerk, tax assessor-collector, sheriff, county attorney, coroner, superintendent of education, east and west judge, east and west constables, supervisors and county surveyor.
In addition to these oaths, chancery court deputy clerks, circuit court deputy clerks as well as sheriff’s deputies will be sworn in to uphold the law.
