New vehicles on the way for Highway Patrol

By NEMS Daily Journal

It hasn’t been announced where 78 new vehicles are headed within the Mississippi Highway Patrol, but some could wind up in Northeast Mississippi.
The 78 new vehicles are being purchased with money made from the sale of Mississippi’s state jet to replace aging cars. The Department of Public Safety announced 123 of the 317 enforcement vehicles in the MHP fleet have more than 100,000 miles on them.
