NETTLETON – The home of a funeral director caught fire Saturday morning at 201 County Road 1203 North of Nettleton.
Firefighters responded at 9:45 a.m. and had the situation under control within 15 minutes. According to Plantersville Fire Capt. Steve Caygle, the fire was contained to the garage. The inside of the house had minimal smoke damage. Nobody was injured in the fire.
A dog and a parrot were rescued by firefighters. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
