JACKSON — Mississippi Department of Corrections officials say a Noxubee County Community Work Center inmate who failed to return from a weekend pass has been captured.

The 44-year-old John Jason Lee was arrested at midnight in the Mathiston, Miss., area by officers with the Mississippi Department of Corrections-Community Corrections Division, Choctaw County Sheriffs’ deputies, Mathiston Police Department officers, Webster County Sheriff’s deputies and the United States Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force, according to the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

Lee is serving a 12-year sentence for convictions of burglary of a vehicle and vehicle theft from Clay and Webster counties.

    First of all when did the convicts start getting weekend passes from prison!? Alot of my weekends are spent working at my job. Prison is supposed to HARD TIME so you want won’t to go back.
