Ole Miss Rebel football coach Houston Nutt said Sunday afternoon in his weekly teleconference with reporters that he hasn’t talked with the school administration about his job status.
The Rebel coach said nothing has changed about his job status since the Kentucky game. Ole Miss faces Louisiana Tech this Saturday in Oxford.
“I’m just thinking about one thing – Louisiana Tech,” Nutt said.
Nutt said no meetings with administration officials are scheduled.
Nutt said he will address rumors of his firing, which has not happened, with the team.
“I probably will because I’ve gotten a couple of texts from them,” Nutt said. “They’re probably hearing what you’re hearing, but nobody has met, nobody has called. I’m going to put all (the rumors) to rest here in about an hour.”
The Rebels lost 30-13 Saturday to Kentucky. Ole Miss (2-7, 0-6) lost its fourth consecutive game this season, and its school-record SEC losing streak reached 12 games.
