OXFORD – Ja' Michael Coleman, 19 days, died April 11, 2008, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Serenity-Hodges Funeral Home in Oxford.
MANTACHIE – Wilma Watson White, 68, died April 12, 2008, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today. Other arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by E.E. Pickle Funeral Home of Amory.
PHOENIX – Marie Smith died April 11, 2008, in Phoenix, Ariz. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Memorial Funeral Home in Corinth.
Charles Edward Ware
COLUMBUS – Charles Edward Ware, 61, died April 11, 2008, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus. He was born Nov. 25, 1946, in Chickasaw County to Simuel Floyd Ware and Lorena Andrews Ware. He was retired from Mississippi Department of Transportation where he was a road maintenance supervisor. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Woodland.
Survivors include one son, Michael Ware of Columbus; three sisters, Betty Wooldridge of Collinsville, Joyce Johns of Houston and Dorothy Lawson of Columbus, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jerry Ware; and one sister, Hazel Vaughn.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Houston with Bro. Melvin Mordeccai and Bro. Ricky McKay officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Woodland.
Pallbearers will be Keith Vaughn, Terry Vaughn, Brad Vaughn, Jimmy Brand, Paul Evans Vaughn, Tim Vaughn, Tim Sutherland, and Robert Sutherland.
Visitation was held at Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m.

William Ray Creel
GOLDEN – William Ray Creel, 39, died April 11, 2008, in Fulton. He was born Oct. 28, 1968, in Red Bay, Ala., to William Hale and Joyce Embrey Creel. He worked in the maintenance department at Mueller Cooper Tube in Fulton for 21 years. He was president of the Local 8420 Steelworkers Union. He was a member of Golden Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Melissa Creel of Golden; two children, Emile Creel and Gage Creel; his mother, Joyce Creel of Golden; his sister-in-law, Rebecca (Mike) Bridges of Iuka; a sister-in-law, Michelle (Kevin) Creekmore of Huntsville, Ala.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Hoyt and Peggy Daniel of Pleasant Site, Ala.; two nieces, Alexandria Rast and Anna Creekmore; two nephews, Adam Rast and Ben Creekmore and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Services will be today at 3 p.m. at Golden Central Baptist Church with Bro. Mickey Trammel and Bro. Jackie Hastings officiating. Burial will be in Belmont City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home in Belmont is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be David Wigginton, Mickey Tate, Hank Whitehead, Dale Swindle, Joe Taylor and Jack Harrison.
Visitation will be noon until service time today at Golden Central Baptist Church.
Willie S. Stutts
ARCHDALE, N.C. – Willie Starbuck Stutts, 96, died Friday, April 11, 2008, at the Westwood Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2008, in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale with Rev. Jimmy Hinson and Jeff Dawkins officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 5 to 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Tony Wesley Bowden
CORINTH – Tony Wesley Bowden, 27, died April 11, 2008, in Corinth. He was born Dec. 14, 1980, in Tippah County to James and Mary Crum Bowden. He was employed by James Ford Builders.
Survivors include his parents, James and Mary Bowden of Corinth; one son, Trayton Bowden; one daughter, Felcia Bowden, both of Corinth; two brothers, Justin Bowden and Dillion Bowden, both of Corinth; and one sister, Michelle Bowden of Corinth.
He was preceded in death by one son, Cody Bowden.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at the Corinthian Chapel with the Rev. Taft Nethery officiating. Burial will be in Vanderford Cemetery with the Corinthian Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Crum, Dewayne Crum, Carl Clance, Gene Rhodes, Ricky Burcham and Bubbie Rickman .

BALDWYN – Raymond Ryan, 67, died Friday April 11, 2008, at the Baptist Hospital in Booneville after a brief illness. He was born Sept. 4, 1940, to Guy and Gertrude Glover Ryan. When he was a young man he was employed at TKE Drug Store in Tupelo. He lived most of his life in the Hopewell Community in Prentiss County.
Survivors include two sisters, Margaret Lindley and Betty Mink; four brothers, Holland Ryan, Stanley Ryan, Jimmy Ryan and Curtis Ryan; a special friend, Barbara Moore, and her son, Tommy Moore; three daughters, Renita Bullock, Lawanda Graves and Tanya Jeter and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Ruby Lee and Jenell Ryan and one brother, Eugene Ryan.
Services will be today at Waters Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Glover officiating. Burial will be in the Hopewell Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Phil Ryan, Randy Ryan, Gary Ryan, Ronnie Lindley, Joe Graves, and Wesley Graves.
TUPELO – Elisabeth “Liz” McClung, 59, died Thursday, April 10, 2008, at her residence in Tupelo after a sudden illness.
She was born September 8, 1948, in Kitzingen, West Germany to Friedrich and Meta Dorethea Goetz Bischoff and was the widow of Junior David McClung, who died May 15, 1993.
She was a long-time medical assistant to Dr. Luther Stumme and was currently with Digestive Health Group. She also found time to travel extensively to numerous destinations including Europe, Asia, Mexico and the Caribbean, and was very active in the local “German Club” in which its members are descendants of Germany. A member of St. James Catholic Church, she enjoyed gardening and especially caring for her grandson.
Survivors include her son, Michael D. McClung of Memphis; one grandchild, Tate McClung of Amory; two sisters, Brigitte Landis of Lawton, Okla., and Jutta Burgraff of Kitzingen, Germany; and one brother, Rolf Bischoff of Albertshofen, Germany.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2008, at St. James Catholic Church with the Rev. Tom Lalor officiating. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

NETTLETON – James P. Ruff, 77, died April 9, 2008, at his residence. He was born Aug. 10, 1930, in Plantersville to William and Roberta Springer Ruff. He was a member of New Bethel MB Church in Plantersville and he was retired from Frisco Railroad.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Clara Pruitt Ruff of Nettleton; one daughter, Dot Kirk of Nettleton; two sons, James R. Ruff of Nettleton and Rickey (Joann) Ruff of Wren; seven grandchildren, Katina (Lafon) Kirk Profice of Starkville, Shar (Seinvanna) Ron of Tupelo, Marcus Kirk of Nettleton, Clarence Betts of Atlanta, and Ronnie, Anthony, and Senequa Betts, all of Aberdeen; five great gandchildren, Kinsey and Sindey Profice, C.J. Weatherspoon, Ja'Lana and Xavier Betts; two brothers, Ben C. (Teresa) Ruff of Dorsey, Glen (Linda) Ruff of Chicago; four sisters, Eddie Mae Westbrooks of Tupelo, Earline Ausborn of Amory, Jerelene Morgan of Memphis and Earnestine Ruff of Nettleton; one aunt, Ophelia (Woody) Plair of Cincinnati; one brother-in-law, Sam Pruitt of Nettleton; two sisters-in-law, Connie Ruff and Carol Pruitt both of Nettleton; one son-in-law, James Kirk of Shannon; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant son; and four brothers, William “Mose”, Sammie, Cecise and Curl.
Services will be today at 3 p.m. at Palesine United Methodist Church with Rev. Jack Shelton and Rev. Christopher Diggs officiating. Burial will be in Mullen Cemetery in Nettleton.
The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to services.
Visitation was held Saturday, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Jackson Mortuary Chapel in Amory.
