William Fielder
OXFORD – William A. Fielder, 82, died Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Anchor Baptist Church. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be held 10 a.m. until service time today at Anchor Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to Anchor Cemetery Fund, 1009 Hwy. 7 South, Water Valley, MS 38965.

Leon Holt
IUKA – Leon Holt, 97, died Saturday, April 14, 2012.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Iuka Church of God. Burial will be in Forrest Grove Cemetery. Ladlam Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is at 6 p.m. today at Ludlam Funeral Home.
Frances Dickerson
TUPELO – Frances Metts Dickerson, 93, died on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born in Montgomery County on Nov. 9, 1918, to the Rev. James Marvin Metts Sr. and Maggie Suggett Metts. She worked as a secretary for the U.S. Government. She resided at United Methodist Senior Services-Traceway Manor in Tupelo the last 16 years where she made many friends and found joy and peace in her sunset years.
Graveside services will be at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Metts Family Plot at Oakwood Cemetery in Winona with the Rev. Barry Corbett officiating. Holland Funeral Directors in Tupelo is entrusted with arrangements.
Survivors include a sister, Mary Metts Owen; nieces, Nancy Owen King (Charles D. King) of Kosciusko and Kathy Metts of Bradenton, Fla.; nephew, James Edwards Metts (Linda Long Metts) of Elkin, N.C.; two great-nephews, Owen D. King of Starkville and Jim Ed Metts of Elkin, N.C.; one great-niece, Carly Metts of Elkin, N.C.; and a sister-in-law, Martha Ahlrich Metts.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Robert Martee Jordan and Ellis R. Dickerson; her parents; a sister, Jane Metts Eubank and husband Col. Wm. L. Eubank, USMC; a brother, the Rev. James Marvin Metts Jr.; and a brother-in-law, Robert H. Owen Jr.

BRUCE – William Earl Poindexter, 55, died Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Belle Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce.
Lucion Poss
UNA – John Lucion Poss, 78, died Saturday, April 14, 2012, at his home, in the Una Community. He was born on Jan. 13, 1934, in Aberdeen, to Raine Edna Barnes Poss and Walter Howard Poss. He was a Machinist with American Can Company for 19 years and he also worked as a fur trader and trapper. He was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist and a Veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Japan during the Korean War. He enjoyed the outdoors and was a trapper and hunter. He loved his family and his 31 dogs.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jake Griggs officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery at Una.
Survivors include his three daughters, Deborah Myers (Darrell) of West Point, Donna Colburn (Roger) of Aberdeen and Lainie Adams (Richard) of Ogdon; one son, David Dewayne Poss (Priscilla) of West Point; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jane White and Betty Jo Bowen (Bud) all of West Point; and one brother, Charles Poss (Sara) of Aberdeen.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patti Lorene Johnson Poss; his children’s mother, Dora Jeanan Knight Poss; granddaughter, Amy Colburn; four brothers, Charles Gary Poss, Jimmy Poss, Wallace Poss and Ernie Poss; and one sister, Sandra Poss Griggs.
Pallbearers will be Mike Poss, John Poss, David Poss, Brian Poss, Greg Poss, Kevin Poss, Rodney McKnight and Ronald McKnight. Honorary pallbearers will be Zane Myers, Darrell Myers, Riley Adams, Randy Colburn, Jerome Brown and his friends in the Una Community.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Calvert Funeral Home.

CORINTH – Billy R. Shaw, 67, died Sunday, April 15, 2012, at his residence. Visitation is 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Magnolia Funeral Home. All other arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later.
Betty Robinson
GUNTOWN – Betty Hamblin Robinson, 61, died Saturday, April 14, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born June 4, 1950, to Albert Lee and Bonnie Outlaw Hamblin. She was a graduate of Baldwyn High School and Northeast Mississippi Community College. She was an RN at North Mississippi Medical Center for 27 years.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Waters Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Robbins officiating with burial in the Camp Creek Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Dan Robinson of Guntown; daughter, Dana Robinson of Tupelo; son, Will Robinson of Saltillo; two sisters, Janie Palmer (Jimmy) of Tupelo and Joyce Creely (Tom) of Smyrna, Ga.; three granddaughters, Hailee and Ella Spalding of Tupelo and Rylie Robinson of Saltillo; three nieces, Jan Burchfield, Susan McGloflin (Mike) and Lisa Boutwell; and nephews, Mitchell Palmer (Tammy), Randy Palmer (Kathy), Donnie Hamblin (Pam), Joey Hamblin, Thomas Creely (Katie) and Christopher Creely (Ashley).
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ray Hamblin; and son, Daniel Lee Robinson.
Pallbearers are Todd Palmer, Jake Palmer, Caleb Palmer, Josh McGloflin, Bo Boutwell, Owen Boutwell, Oliver Boutwell and Matt Burchfield.
Allen Stegall
PEPPERTOWN – Allen Z. Stegall, 84, died on Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Golden Living Center in Ripley. He was born on Sept. 22, 1927, in Itawamba County, to Henry Booker and Dimples Goddard Stegall. He attended Itawamba County Schools. He married Betty Jane Trimm on Sept. 27, 1961. He worked with Fischer Body in Willow Springs, Ill., for 30 years. He was a member of Peppertown Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and country music.
A celebration of life service will be held at 4 p.m. today at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Coy Hill officiating. Burial will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Betty Jean Stegall of Peppertown; daughter, Rachel Ann Stegall of Peppertown; stepson, Terry Brock (Jeri) of Amory; sister, Ann Moore of Fulton; brothers, Wayne and Gaines Stegall of Fulton; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepson, Johnny Brock; and a brother, Henry Stegall.
Honorary pallbearers will be U.S. Army Staff Sgt. William Michael Reeves and U.S. Army CW2 John Stegall.
Visitation will be from 2:30 to 3:45 p.m. today prior to the service at the funeral home.

Ilene Drewery
RIPLEY – Ilene Thrasher Drewery, 88, died Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Tippah County Hospital Nursing Home. She was born July 24, 1923, to Bryan Thrasher and Edna Duncan Thrasher. She was a member of West Ripley Baptist Church. She retired from Ripley Shoe Products, a baby sitter for many and was a homemaker.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Ripley Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bill Baker, Bro. Randy Latch and Bro. Greg Smart officiating. Burial will be in Tippah Memorial Garden.
She is survived by two daughters, Betty Smith (Bonnie) and Sherry Walker (Jim), all of Ripley; two sons, Waymon Drewery (Helen) of Ripley, and Terry Drewery (Donnie) of Hamilton, Ala.; two sisters, Elora McNeer of Amarillo, Texas and Birtie Mae Mauney of Kossuth; nine grandchildren, Deborah Smart, Tracy Tice, Bryan Drewery, Tim Drewery, Brandon Smith, Rebecca Walker, Amanda Walker, Rachel Walker and Jamie Walker; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C.R. “Rudolph” Drewery; one sister, Pauline Drewery; and her parents.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Smith, Joshua Smart, Tim Drewery, Bryan Drewery, Tracy Tice and Travis Drewery.
