Katheleen Wright
BATESVILLE – Katheleen Brassell Wright, 61, died Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, at her home in Batesville.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Eureka AME Zion Church in Batesville. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Hodges-Freeman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of the arrangements.

Jessie Harris
WEST POINT – Jessie Harris, 55, died Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, at West Point Civic Center. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in West Point. Carter’s Mortuary Services is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

John Cauley
INVERNESS – John Wesley Cauley, 78, died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in New Albany. He was born in Shaw and moved at an early age to Inverness, where he received his education. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean conflict. After his discharge he returned to Inverness where he was employed with Wade Inc., then L.B. Repair Shop before owning and operating his own Ag repair business. He retired in 1997. In May 2011 of this year he moved to New Albany. He had attended Beulah Baptist Church in Inverness.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Boone-Card Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery at Inverness. Boone-Card Funeral Home of Indianola is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Viola Harris Cauley of New Albany; two daughters, Ann C. Tharp of New Albany and Jo Worley of Indianola; a sister, Hazel Sanders of Conway, Ark.; two brothers, Ed Cauley of Danville, Ill., and Johnny Cauley of Inverness; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy W. Hawkins, and a brother, Jimmy.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to service time today at the funeral home.

OXFORD – Lottye Conner McCoy, 53, died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011, at her home near Oxford.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Yellow Leaf Baptist Church in Oxford. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of the arrangements.

Linda Pittman
GORE SPRINGS – Linda Diane Pittman, 64, died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, at her home in Gore Springs.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Bradford Chapel Baptist Church in Calhoun County. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to service time today at the church.

Lucy Boyd
ROGERSVILLE, Ala. – Louise “Lucy” Boyd, 78, died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, at her residence in Rogersville, Ala. She was born in Shannon on April 28, 1933, to Homer and Janie Clark Childers. She was a member of Good Springs Baptist Church in Rogersville. She loved her gardening, flowers, crocheting and being surrounded by her family and friends.
Services will be at noon today at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues in Tupelo with Rev. Truman Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery in Shannon.
Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Tate of Rogersville, Ala.; two sisters, Mary G. Barnes of Shannon and Mable K. Wilson (Cecil) of Amory; two grandchildren, Joseph Boyd (Crissy) and Carma Boyd, both of Athens, AL; two great-grandchildren, Makayla Cox and Cali Boyd; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. Boyd, in 1998; her parents; her brother, Romie Lagrone Childers; her sister, Annie Lee Childers Pettigrew.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Barnes, Shane Wilson, Jerry Langford, Wayne Woods, Chris Roden and Joseph Boyd.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Thorne and Jerry Rakestraw.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

CORINTH – Billy Ray Briggs Sr., 90, died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 1 p.m. to service time Sunday at the funeral home.

Bob Stafford
WEST POINT – Robert “Bob” Stafford Jr., 63, died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011. He worked at Bryan Foods for many years before retiring.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Robinson Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his aunt, Katherine Layton of Florence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty Reese and Bob Stafford.

Brenda White
TISHOMINGO – Brenda Gayle Bostick White, 62, died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011, at National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs, Ark. She was a native of Tishomingo County and had been an employee at Golden Manufacturing. She was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church in Hot Springs.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Belmont with Bro. Hal Holt officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Tishomingo. Deaton Funeral Home of Belmont is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are her husband of 43 years, Robert White of Hot Springs, Ark.; two children , Rhonda White (Chris Westbrook) of Hot Springs and Karen Fowler (Frankie) of Tremont; one brother, Gary Bostick (Sharon) of Tishomingo; one nephew, Eric Bostick of Tuscumbia, Ala.; five grandchildren, Jeremy Fowler, Kelli Fowler, Kristin Westbrook, Tiffany Westbrook and Joseph Westbrook; and one great-grandchild, Braylen Nesmith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Geraldine Gattis Bostick, and a brother, Junior Bostick.
Pallbearers will be Eric Bostick, Frankie Fowler, Chris Westbrook, Tommy Joe Gattis, Paul Morris and Larry Durham. Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Westbrook, Jeremy Fowler, Jimmy Harold Poole and Kenny Gattis.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and until service time Sunday at the funeral home.

Jennifer Reich
FULTON – Jennifer Nicole Reich, 16, died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011. She was born Aug. 31, 1994, in Slidell, La. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Senter Funeral Home Chapel with bro. Jackie Gray officiating. Burial will be in Gum Cemetery.
Survivors include her mother, Debbie Prestage of Fulton; her grandparents, Carolyn and Terry Jamison of Fulton, and Red and Martha McCarthy of Picayune; two sisters, Tracey Gray (Cody) of Fulton and Lacie Reich of Columbus; two brothers, Derek Reich of Leake and Chris Sauier of Alaska; one aunt, Elizabeth Massey (Gerald) of Columbus; two nieces, Allysa Gray and Marleigh Brooke Gray.
She was preceded in death by her father, Mike Reich.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Murphy, Tony Gillentine, Cody Gray and Shawn Prestage.
Visitation will be from noon to service time today.
