Memory Williams
MOOREVILLE – Memory Lasha Lynn Williams, 2-month-old daughter of Brandon Williams and Miranda Trulove, died suddenly Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at her home in Mooreville.
Visitation will begin after 2 p.m. Sunday at the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ on Temple Circle in Shannon and will continue at the church until 11 a.m. Monday. Holland Funeral Directors, Tupelo Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
Bro. Lenarse Stricklen
BOONEVILLE – Bro. Patrick Lenarse Stricklen, 74, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at his home. He was born April 4, 1936, in Prentiss County to Patrick Daniel Stricklen and Arvillie Frances Jones Stricklen. He was a minister, and he truly loved the Lord. He enjoyed reading the Bible, preaching, and his family. His hobby was fishing.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tim Blakney and Bro. Rick Bowling officiating. Burial will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Kapaun Stricklen, whom he married on Aug. 6, 1966; a daughter, Tammie Stubblefield (Brad) of Pontotoc; a brother, Truman Stricklen (Joanne) of Bruce, Wis.; four grandchildren, Craig, Lance, Ethan and Seth Stubblefield; and a special nephew, Steven Stricklen.
He was preceded in death by two infant sons, Patrick Lenarse Stricklen Jr. and Samuel Lenarse Stricklen; his parents; three brothers, James Stricklen, Henry Stricklen and Johnny Stricklen; and a sister, Lula Tennison.
Pallbearers are nephews, Steven Stricklen, Johnathon Hartley, Aaron Hartley, Thomas Stricklen, Charles Stricklen, H. Clay Stricklen Jr. and Jeff Stricklen; and great-nephew, Patrick O. Stricklen.
Memorials may be made to the Smith Chapel Free Will Baptist Church Building Fund, 230 CR 1101, Booneville, MS 38829.
Omer Smith Jr.
FULTON – Omer Burl “O.B.” Smith Jr., 75, died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010, at his home in Atlanta, Ga.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton. Bro. Glyn Wiygul will officiate.
Survivors include his brother, James Murray Smith of Tupelo; two sisters, Dorothy Sandroni of Shaw and Callie Meyer of Memphis; nine nieces and nephews; 11 great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Sunday.
The family requests that memorials be sent to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Diane Johnson
SALTILLO – Diane Johnson, 62, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at her residence. She was born March 6, 1948, in Booneville to Jack and Mildred Johnson. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Saltillo. A loving wife and homemaker, she enjoyed cooking and collecting everything, but her life was devoted to her family.
Services will be 1 p.m. today at The Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Rex Yancey officiating. Burial will be in Siloam Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Richard Johnson of Saltillo; three sons, Jeff Johnson (Lori) of Saltillo, Chris Johnson (Amy) of Mantachie and Van Johnson (Mindy) of Saltillo; three granddaughters, Meggan England (Drew), Daisy Johnson and Bailey Johnson; six grandsons, Brody Johnson, Noah Johnson, Seth Johnson, Levi Johnson, Luke Johnson and Cory Scribner; one great-granddaughter, Kloye England; two sisters, Linda Eaton (Ronny) and Jackie Stacy (Mike), both of New Site; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thermon and Gretchen Johnson of New Site.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Larry and Gerry Johnson.
Pallbearers will be her nephews, Brent Wilemon, Jason Downs, Alan Johnson, David Lee, Eric Eaton and Larry Warren Johnson.

HOLLY SPRINGS – Ada Lee Riddle Isom, 86, died Monday, Dec. 20 2010, at her home in Holly Springs.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Hopewell No. 2 M.B. Church in Hudsonville. Burial will be in Gray’s Chapel CME Church Cemetery in Hudsonville. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home of Holly Springs is in charge of the arrangements.
The body will lie in state at the church from noon to 12:55 p.m. Sunday.
Dessie Robinson
TUPELO – Dessie Green Pickering Robinson, 94, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Holland Funeral Directors, Tupelo Chapel. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and from 1 p.m. to service time Monday at the church.
Clytee Bean
PEACEFUL VALLEY – Clytee Bean, 88, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at the Courtyards Community Living Center. She was born June 4, 1922, in Monroe County to Clifton and Minnie Funderburk Sloan. She retired from Smithville Garment Company. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and especially being with her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Eugene Digby officiating. Burial will be in the Bourland Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Bean and David Bean (Nancy); two daughters, Dianne Rock (Roy) and Sarah Thompson (Jerry), all of Peaceful Valley; nine grandchildren, Debbie Loague, Andy Bean (Kathy), Amy Hoffman (Raymond), Jamie Rock (Beth), Lacey Cox (Jason), Matthew Thompson, Marcus Thompson, Josh Bean (Nicole) and Cody Bean; 14 great-grandchildren; a special niece, Carolyn Dill Barnes; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Coy Bean; one son, Joel Bean; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Bean; two grandsons, Jason Rock and Tim Loague; two brothers, Omri Sloan and Eddie Sloan; two sisters, Ripple True and Jimmie Coward; and their spouses.
Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Billy Collum, Roy Lee Lindsey; and the childhood friends of her children, the Bennett brothers, the Shotts brothers, the Johnson children and the Rock children.
Visitation will continue from 7 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

IUKA – Mamie Walker Drake, 96, died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010, in Iuka.
