BLUE MOUNTAIN – Jacob Reese Bryant, 21, died Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, as the result of an automobile accident. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Ripley Funeral Home.

WATER VALLEY – Theron Jean Campbell, 50, died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at his Water Valley home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Everdale Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Water Valley. Seven Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

AMORY – Lenoel Evans, 75, died Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, at Community Hospice at Darlington Oaks. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by E.E. Pickle Funeral Home of Amory.

Freida Sipes
TISHOMINGO – Freida Eaton Sipes, 81, died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at Iuka Hospital. She was a native of Belmont and a member of Tishomingo Church of Christ. She had a Ph.D. in Education and was a teacher at Kellogg Community College for 30 years. After retiring from teaching, she moved back to Mississippi and was elected Alderman for four years and then Mayor of Tishomingo for four years.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Tishomingo Church of Christ with Bro. Claudie Jones and Bro. David Lambert officiating. Burial will be in Tishomingo City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home of Belmont is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Ann Sipes of Corinth; one sister, Elwanda McDonald of Tishomingo; two nieces, Penny Westmoreland (Daniel) of Fulton and Karen Bowen (David) of Saltillo; one nephew, Patrick Wigginton (Susan) of Savannah; an aunt, Ravelle Hudson of Battle Creek, Mich.; and several great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Harold Sipes; and her parents, Owen Thurman Eaton and Lucy Wilemon Eaton.
Pallbearers will be J.P. Wilemon, Chad Bowen, Spencer Harlow, Cameron Conwill, Eddie Conwill and David Bowen.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today and until service time Sunday at the church.
Odell Bullard
IUKA – William Odell Bullard, 88, of Iuka, died Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, at his home. He was a member of Patrick United Methodist Church and a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He retired from Intex Plastics in Corinth. He was a life-long farmer, and he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Patrick United Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Dollar officiating. Burial will be in Patrick Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by one son, Bill Bullard and wife, Cristi of Bartlett, Tenn.; one daughter, Pam Bullard of Memphis; two brothers, Raymond Bullard and Charles Bullard, both of Iuka; and three grandchildren, Jessica Bullard of Bartlett, Tenn., Samantha Bullard of Bartlett, Tenn., and Olivia Bullard of Memphis.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Emogene Ledgewood Bullard; a grandchild, Andrea Bullard; and a sister, Ruby Price.
Honorary pallbearers include Verdell Ledgewood, Johnny McKee, Curtis Patrick and Robert Price.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to service time Sunday.

CORINTH – Mary Christian Britt, 69, died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at Cornerstone Health and Rehab. She was a homemaker and a member of Tate Baptist Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Leroy Brown officiating. Burial will be in Carolina Cemetery. Magnolia Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her brothers, Kenneth Christian and wife, Imogene of Attalla, Ala., Boyce Christian of Southaven, Gerald Christian and wife, Fredda of Savannah, Tenn., and Donnie Christian and wife, Regenia of Corinth.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ellison Monroe Christian; her mother, Flora McDonald Christian; her brother, Murrell Allen Christian; and her sister, Virginia Robertson.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

IUKA – Albert Lee Glover, 88, of Iuka, died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011.

PONTOTOC – Gary Dale Alexander, 44, died Dec. 29, 2011, at his home. He loved being outdoors, working on and building things and spending time with his family.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Carey Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Junior Ritchie officiating. Burial will be in Carey Springs Cemetery. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Alexander; his parents, Dale and Dianne of Pontotoc; his children, Dustin and Star Allen of Waverly, Tenn., and Heather Delk and Britney Sands of Columbus; his brother, Jerry Alexander (Terry) of Pontotoc; his sisters, Lisa Lyons (Micheal) of Pontotoc, Barbara Alexander of Pontotoc and Angel (Jon) Warren of Pontotoc; 11 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; his stepsons, Dennis Carter of Pontotoc and Clifton Carter of Ecru; and his stepdaughter, Kristie Belding of Texas.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, J.D. Alexander of Pontotoc, Vara Waldo of Pontotoc and Ethel and Norman Oaks of Mark Tree, Ark.
Pallbearers will be Michael Lyons, Thomas Warren, Jon Warren, Brandon Cole, Hank Alexander and Lonnie Alexander.
Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. today at the church.
Lavern Lindsey
BUCKHORN – Alice Lavern Lindsey, 83, died Dec. 30, 2011, at Graceland Nursing Home in Pontotoc. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home with Steve Cohea officiating. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include three daughters, Bartha Snyder, Patsy Ball and Pam Dellautte; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin “Buddy” Lindsey; sons, Carrell Moss Jr. and Kenneth Frank Moss; daughter, Judy Jones; father, Walter Belk; mother, Della Belk; brothers, Lynn Belk, H.J. Belk and M.J. Belk; and one sister, Loyce Faye Tutor.
Pallbearers will be Jim Snyder, Tracy Walls, Jimmy Holder, Robbie Moss, Nathan Moss and Jacob Moss.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

SHANNON – Vernon White, 65, died Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Nettleton.
Opal Wallace
FULTON – Opal Wallace, 77, died Friday, Dec. 30, 2011. She was born July 5, 1934, to Rex and Jewel Senter Dulaney in Fulton. She was a member of the Northside Baptist Church. She worked 42 years at Itawamba Manufacturing. She loved and missed her church family.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Senter Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Nichols officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Cemetery. Senter Funeral Home of Fulton is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Lisa Graham (Wade) of Fulton; three sisters, Francis Christian (Clint) of Fulton, Cleta Walker of Fulton and Ethelene Leslie (Walter) of Mantachie; two brothers, Gene Dulaney (Dot) of Mantachie and Tom Dulaney of Holly Springs; three grandchildren, Ashley Ragsdale of Saltillo, Jonathan Ragsdale of Mooreville and Kimberly Hacker of Vina, Ala.; and a special great-grandchild, Shelby Ragsdale of Mooreville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy D. Wallace; one son, Jimmy Wallace; one sister, Edith Davidson; and one brother, Woodrow Dulaney.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Jackson, Bobby Barnes, Marshall House, Chris and Seth Graham, Ricky Leslie and Roy Adams
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. There will be no services on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012.

CORINTH – Eather Irene Dunn, 82, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2011, at her home.

James Churchill
ECRU – James Lonnie Churchill, 12, died Dec. 29, 2011, at his home in Ecru. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by McBride Funeral Home of Ripley.
Margaret Edge
AMORY – Lora Margaret “Tootsie” Patterson Edge, 79, died on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011, at Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center. Born on Aug. 11, 1932, in Cardsville, she was a daughter of the late Preston and Ruby Mae Jones Patterson. She was a seamstress with Wilson’s and Glenn Manufacturing and a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed baking cakes and taking them to those who had a need. Mrs. Edge enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cross stitching, quilting, cooking, card games with her sisters and brothers and dominoes. With life revolving around her family, she is fondly remembered for her taco suppers.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharron E. Koomen (Ted) of Branson, Mo.; brothers, Frank “Pat” Patterson (Sylvia) and Doug “Pete” Patterson (Diane), of Amory; sister-in-law, Janet Patterson of Amory; grandchildren, Brad Riggan (Brandy), Carmen Riggan, Matthew Koomen and Nicholas Koomen; great-grandchildren, Jessica Riggan and Andrew Culver; nephews and nieces, Larry and Mickey Reich, Terry, Glen David and Tommy Tubb, Glenda Clark, Teresa Miller, Lynn and Lisa Patterson, Stan Patterson, Ellen P. Wiygul and Linzy Patterson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Elvin Edge; and sisters, Virginia Reich, Mary Ruth Tubb, Shirley Miller and Helen Clark.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 1 p.m. today at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with the Rev. Warren Coile and the Rev. Rusty P. Keen officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her family members. Honorary pallbearers will Dr. Danny Moore, Dr. Gerald Parker, Shelly Moffett and Bro. Jesse Betts.

James Thomas
VARDAMAN – James Albert Thomas, 78, died Dec. 27, 2011, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. He was a construction worker by trade and was employed by McCormick Construction Company for many years. He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He believed in working hard and continued to do so until his health failed.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at Kyles Chapel MB Church in Vardaman with Pastor Gerald Valliant officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Joy Cemetery in Grenada. Belle Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his daughters, Birdia Buntyn (Elder Rick), Rosemary Gilmore and Katherine Thomas; his sons, Elder Albert Thomas (Mary), Pastor John Everett Thomas (Kelly), Danny Thomas and Stephon Thomas; one sister, Catherine Smith; 21 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a very special friend of 27 years, Ms. Pearlean Willis.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Georgia Mae Thomas; four brothers, Sam Thomas, Randolph Thomas Jr., Ever Lee Thomas and L.C. Thomas; two sisters: Elizabeth Stovall and Georgia Mae Roseman; and two children, Lisa Ann Thomas and Georgia Ann Thomas.
A wake will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service time Sunday.
