CORINTH – Betty Lou Fuller, 72, died Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at the Magnolia Regional Health Center.

WALNUT – Peggy Ilene Mullins, 61, died Thursday, June 24, 2010, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Overton Hill Community Church. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Magnolia Funeral Home of Corinth is in charge of the arrangements.

Tongi Park
PONTOTOC – Tongi Donahue Park, 47, of the Longview Community died Thursday, June 24, 2010, at her residence. She was born Sept. 5, 1962, in Baldwyn to Ray Donahue and Bobbie Huckaby Donahue. She married Johnny Park on June 29, 1985, and moved to Pontotoc County, where she lived and worked as a business development manager for Southern Imperial Manufacturing. She was an active member of Longview Baptist Church, where she served on various committees and had taught Sunday School in past years.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Longview Baptist Church with Bro. George Steward and Bro. Tony Morrow officiating. Baldwin-Nowell Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny Park of the Longview community; her parents, Ray Donahue and Bobbie Huckaby Donahue of Guntown; her grandmother, Nell Donahue of Guntown; one sister, Amanda Russell (Ben) of Pontotoc; one brother, Rickey Donahue (Lisa) of Guntown; her mother-in-law, Mildred Park; nieces and nephews, Josh and Laken Donahue, Brennan and Adam Russell, Shandra Graham (Aric), Caleb Park, Cody Park, Paul Park (Angela), Kevin Park (Rochelle) and Chris Park (Katherine); a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Milton and Jewel Huckaby, and Howard Donahue; and her father-in-law, Verlon Park.
Pallbearers will be Paul Park, Kevin Park, Chris Park, Josh Donahue, Ethan Park, Caleb Park, Cody Park and Aric Graham.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the church.

EUPORA – Charles David Turner, 20, died Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at the Oktibbeha County Hospital.

NETTLETON – Milton J. Lakey, 77, died Friday, June 25, 2010, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home of Nettleton.

STEENS – Robert T. “Bill” Hackman, 91, died Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at Aurora Nursing Home in Columbus. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Jackson Mortuary in Aberdeen.
Fred Metcalf
OKOLONA – Fredrick Rondell “Fred” Metcalf, 41, died Monday, June 21, 2010, in Okolona. He was born July 21, 1968, to Matielean Metcalf Thomas. He grew up in the Egypt community and later moved to Okolona. He was a member of the Eastern Star M.B. Church and an employee of United Furniture.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Zion Spring M.B. Church with the Rev. Nolen Elzie officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Williams Memorial of Okolona is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his mother, Matielean Thomas of Okolona; his father, Willie Earl Thomas Sr. of Pontotoc; one daughter, Essence Metcalf of Tupelo; one son, Gary Trice of Shannon; four brothers, Willie Earl Thomas of Okolona, and Stanley Ray Metcalf (Cindy), Terdarrin Whitfield and Micheal Stone, all of Tupelo; one sister, Vicky (James) Golden of Caledonia; two aunts, Eva M. Metcalf and Debra Metcalf of Okolona; three uncles, Lonnie (Phyllis) Bailey, Bobby Metcalf and Leroy Metcalf; his grandparents, Earline and Eli Thomas Sr.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Lorine Metcalf.

GOLDEN – Hubert E. Scott, 86, died Thursday, June 24, 2010, at his residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Vina, Ala. Deaton Funeral Home of Red Bay, Ala., is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Mary Alice Miller
AMORY – Mary Alice Miller, 100, died Thursday, June 24, 2010, at Golden Living Center. A native of Pontotoc County, she was a daughter of Billie and Betty McCullough Miller. Known for her big heart, she had lived in Monroe County for 90 years. She married E.C. “Jim” Miller on May 16, 1927, in Aberdeen. She and her husband opened Parham Store in 1949, where she worked over 40 years before becoming a homemaker. She was an active member and Sunday school teacher at New Hope Baptist Church. Her family gave her the most enjoyment in life. She enjoyed gospel music, gardening and socializing with folks when they visited the store.
Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Tim McMillan, Dr. Lloyd Sweatt, Bro. Sidney McLeod, Bro. Dean Smith and David Highland officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.
She is survived by three daughters, Lillian Parham, Betty (Sidney) McLeod and Mable (Clovis) Ford, all of Amory; one son, Kenneth “Pete” (Betty) Miller of Hatley; 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Lumpkin, Myrtle Majors and Fernie Denton; two brothers, Willie Frank and Langston Miller; and an adopted brother, Loyd Parham.
Pallbearers will be Mickey and Gary Miller, Ricky “Bo” Ford, Mike Tyree, Dwight Vaughn, Jim George, Randy Harmon, Larry Austin and Donald Kimbrough.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Alice Neal
NEW ALBANY – Alice Totsye Callicutt Neal, 95, died Thursday, June 24, 2010, at her residence. She was born Dec. 8, 1914, in Union County to James Walter Callicutt Sr. and Minnie Irwin Callicutt. She was a retired employee of Renasant Bank as well as several other financial institutions. She and her husband managed Lamar Farm Supply for many years. She also taught school for a number of years. She was a member of the Dogwood Hills Garden Club and the Professional Women’s Business Club. She was a member of First Baptist Church in New Albany, where she was a member of the WMU Circle and the Sunshine Sunday School class.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the United Funeral Service Chapel in New Albany with Dr. Tom Sumrall and Rev. Rickey Blythe officiating. Burial will be in the Glenfield Memorial Park.
She is survived by her brother, James Walter Callicutt Jr., and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Chester Neal; and four sisters, Ruby Coltharp, Rudell Butler, Inez Callicutt and Beatrice Henry.
Pallbearers will be Jon Callicutt, Jay Callicutt, Clyde Butler, Jason Butler, Will Butler, Randy Huffman, Tony Richardson, Vic Stembridge and Will Callicutt.

CORINTH – Dr. C. Shelby Reid, 79, died Friday, June 25, 2010, at the Magnolia Regional Health Center.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Corinth. Burial will follow in the Mormon Cemetery in Booneville. McPeters Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.

AUBURN – Henry Roger Hahn, 58, died at his home in the Auburn community after a brief illness. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Holland Funeral Directors, Tupelo Chapel.
David Grimes
FULTON – Abram David Grimes passed away at his daughter’s home in Fulton Thursday June 24, 2010. He was born April 25, 1925, in Itawamba County to the late Dempsey and Alma Grimes. He entered military service in 1943, serving in World War II in the U.S. Army. He was honorably discharged in 1946. He married Ollie Mae Moore on May 25, 1946. He was employed at John-Mansville in Waukegan, Ill., for 38 years. Upon retiring he relocated to Fulton. He was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church in Tremont, where he taught Sunday School. He was an avid musician, playing the guitar and mandolin. He loved to sing. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and telling stories about his life experiences.
He is survived by his second wife, Gracie Grimes, whom he married in August 1999; one daughter, Brenda Ivy of Fulton; one granddaughter, Tricia Sparks (Lindsey); two great-grandsons, Reed and Derek Sparks of Fulton; one grandson, Billy Snider of Fort Hood, Texas; one brother, Lloyd Grimes (Ruth) of Sumrall; two sisters-in-law, Patsy Bonney (Bill) of Tupelo and Ressie Moore of Tremont; a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday, June 28, 2010, at Senter Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. David Laman and Bro. Jack Ezell will officiate. Burial will be in the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ollie Mae Grimes; one son, Larry Grimes; two sons-in-law, Bill Snider and Gordon Ivy; one brother, Dee Grimes; two sisters, Ola Esperson and Rosie Blackard.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday, June 27, 2010, and from 8 a.m. to service time Monday, June 28, 2010.
Pallbearers will be Lindsey Sparks, Joey grimes, Eddie Grimes, Joe Robinson, Hollis Moore Jr., Kenneth Blackard and Gerald Robert Grimes.
