Cameron Bernal
IUKA – Cameron Bernal, 19, died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011, as the result of an automobile accident.
Following cremation, a private memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the family residence. Cutshall Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Marie Norman
WEST POINT – Marie Norman, 98, died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011, at the Baptist Health Systems Medical
Center in Jackson. Details are incomplete at this time and will be announced by Calvert Funeral Home at a later date.

L.C. Wood
FULTON – L.C. Wood, 70, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at his residence. He was born July 18, 1941, to Ollis and Cora Rogers Wood. He was a member of the Sandy Springs Missionary Baptist Church. He worked at National Springs for twenty years. He then worked at Cayson Electronics for two years, before working for 28 and a half years at Mueller Brass in Fulton. He was a veteran, serving in the National Guard. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking and canning. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Sandy Springs Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. James Segars and Bro. Jerry Taylor officiating.
Burial will be in the Sandy Springs cemetery. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Fulton is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include four daughters, Patti Heering (Dr. David) of O’Fallon, Mo., Kim Warren (Bryan) of Mantachie, Rosa Taylor (Mark) and Margie Thomas (Terry) both of Fulton; two brothers, Charles Wood (Nell) of Guyton,Ga., and James Ray Wood of Bolivar, Tenn; three sisters, Walla Underwood and Martha Wright, both of Fulton, and Vetra Butler of Mantachie; nine grandchildren, Jacqueline Thomas, Lacey Taylor, Ashley Taylor, Samantha Heering Webb (Brian), James Thomas, Matthew Heering, Alleigh Taylor, Caleb Warren and Megan Warren. One great-great-grandchild, Riley Case Moffett. A special friend, Katy Lou Johnson Denson of Fulton.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Billie Rue Wood, who died June 25, 2007; two brothers, William Francis Wood and William Lawrence Wood; several brother and sister-in-laws; and his parents.
Pallbearers will be Roy Lee Robinson, Joel Robinson, Anthony Crawley, Mike Underwood, Wayne Underwood, Chris Wright, David Lee Crawley, and Bobby Milam.
Honorary pallbearers will be Roosevelt Blackman, Verlon Gentry, Tony Wood, Larry Nichols, Tom Childs, Ricky Johnson, Otis Wilson, Mike Tucker, and co-workers at Mueller Copper Tube.
Visitation will be from 5 until 9 p.m. tonight and from 8 a.m. until service time Tuesday at Sandy Springs Missionary Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the North Miss. Medical Center Cancer Center, 830 S. Gloster St., Tupelo, MS 38801.

Mittie Smith
UNITY – Mittie Jane Smith, 86, died Friday, Sept. 30, 2011, at the Baldwyn Nursing Facility of North Mississippi Medical Center. A Lee County native and longtime resident of the Unity Community, she was born Nov. 27, 1924, to Louis and Rennie Clementine Lyons. She was employed for 36 years with Hunter-Sadler Manufacturing. She was married for 51 years to William Truitt Smith. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, spending time outdoors and traveling. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church.
Services were 2 p.m. Sunday at Unity Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Boutwell officiating. Burial was in Unity Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her sister, Geneva Pearson of Saltillo; her brother, James Lyons of the Unity Community; a special friend, Lonnie Hampton of Baldwyn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, William Truitt Smith, who preceded her in death on December 28, 1996; two sisters, Sudie Pettigo and Lillie Bell Lyons; and a brother, Robert Lyons.
Pallbearers will be her nephews.
The body laid in state before service time at the church.

Nellie Wilkerson
BLUE MOUNTAIN – Nellie Marie Thomas Wilkerson, 82, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at her residence. She was born March 4, 1929, to Willie (Will) Thomas and Carlonia Jones Thomas. She retired from Kimberly Clark after twenty-six years of service.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Ripley Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Shannon Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Blue Mountain Cemetery.
Survivors include two sisters, Leatha Padgett (Dan) of St Louis, Mo., and Patsy Gibson (Jerry) of Memphis; two brothers, Lee Earl Thomas (Sara) of Blue Mountain, and Robert Thomas (Ronda) of Ripley.
She was preceded in death by husband, Otis Wilkerson; her son, David Glenn Wilkerson; her parents; and one brother, James A. Thomas.

Willie Lucas
BALDWYN – Willie Floyd Lucas, 78, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at his residence. He was born January 23, 1933, to William G. and Elnora Calmoese Lucas. He was a member of Springhill M.B. Church.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Springhill M.B. Church in Baldwyn with the Rev. Isaac Shinault officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Agnew amp& Sons Funeral Home of Baldwyn is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Zannie Elkins Lucas of Baldwyn; three sons, Willie Floyd Lucas Jr. (Pat), Jimmy Lucas and Floyd “Pat” Lucas all of Baldwyn; two daughters, Willie Jean Warren (Will Jr.) and Jacqueline Diane Lucas both of Baldwyn; one sister, Jessie Mae Nevels of Baldwyn; one aunt, Irene Copeland of Baldwyn, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to service.

Winston Russell
CORINTH – Winston Russell, 47, died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011, at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was a cabinet maker for Mid-West Wood Working; he enjoyed riding motorcycles and bartending.
Services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. John Wilbanks officiating. Burial will be in the Lorraine Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Russell of Michie, Tenn.; his children, April (Justin) Rimmer of Brownsville, Tenn., Jennifer (Rusty) Johnson of Jackson, Tenn., Rebecca Steward of Clarksville, Tenn., Kristy (David Barnes) Lambert of Corinth, Kevin Lambert of Michie, Tenn.; a brother, Lewis Gordon of Michie, Tenn.; a very special aunt and second mother, Shirley Mask; grandchildren, Breanna, Mekayla, Brice, Hailey, Jasper, Rylee, Logan, and Aiden.
He was preceded in death by his father, Winston Holland Russell, mother, Lillie Marie Mask; brothers, Billy Ray Gordon and Jackie Lynn Russell.

Del Robinson
RED BAY, Ala. – Delma Atrice “Del” Robinson, 90, died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011, at the Red Bay Hospital. She was born November 3, 1920, to Clifford D. and Lelian Thorne Barnes. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and owned and operated a grocery store for many years. She enjoyed cooking and flower gardening.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home chapel in Fulton with Bro. Jackie Gray officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Charles Ray Robinson (Gladys) of Fulton; two sisters, Faye Senter (Grady) of Fulton, and Sally Kreuger (Lyle) of Ill.; two grandchildren, Rhonda Rutledge (Kirk) of Iuka and Mike Robinson of Savannah,TN; five great-grandchildren, Luke Killingsworth of Iuka, Leah Houston (Jeremy) of Cherokee, Ala., Skye Judd of Belmont, Casey Rutledge and Zack Rutledge, both of Plantersville; two great-great-grandchildren, Kaylin Killingsworth and Karly Killingsworth, both of Fulton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles C. Robinson, who died May 2, 1998; two brothers, Dalton Barnes and C.D. Barnes; two sisters, Elois Young and Billie Joyce Wilson; and her parents.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Nettie Wilson
PONTOTOC – Nettie Virginia Wilson, 60, died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. A native of Pontotoc, she was the daughter of Roy Eugene Wilson and Slettie Bee Fitzpatrick Wilson. She was a member of Friendship M.B. Church. She was a homemaker who loved fishing, gardening, cooking, talking and laughing with family and friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Friendship M.B. Church with the Rev. Roger Powell officiating. Burial will be in Pontotoc City Cemetery. Kenneth I. Roberson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by seven daughters, Brenda (Charles) Hurd, Wanda Berry, Samantha Wilson, Tasha (Ellis) Scott, Angela Wilson, and Paige Wilson all of Pontotoc, and Yanda (Michael) Frison of Tupelo; three sons, Roger (Yolanda) Wilson of New Albany, Chesteen (Angelia) Wilson of Belden and Anthony Wilson of Pontotoc; three sisters, Ruthie Standfield, Rita Lyons and Bessie Wilson all of Pontotoc; two brothers, Billy (Mildred) Fitzpatrick and Leroy (Dianne) Wilson all of Pontotoc; nineteen grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren; her companion, George Cosbey; a special aunt, Esteen (Raymond) Wilson; two goddaughters, Jessice Moore and Norma Armstrong; and two special friends, Laura and Helen Washington.
Preceding her in death were her parents; one daughter, Martha J. Wilson; one sister, Mahaley Foote and one brother, John Howard Wilson.
Visitation is from 1 until 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Billy Anderson
PLANTERSVILLE – Billy Jim “Bump” Anderson, 36, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at the University of Alabama, Birmingham Hospital. He lived all his life in Nettleton before moving to Plantersville a year ago. He attended Nettleton Public Schools and worked in the furniture industry with his last employment at Alan White in Shannon where he worked the cutting table. Bump had undergone a kidney transplant on his 36th birthday, Aug. 26, 2011, which was donated by his first cousin, Amy McCaleb Shlingsburg. He recovered well the last five weeks actively completing his “bucket list” requests including several camp outs. An avid deer hunter and fisherman, he revered all outdoors and outdoor activity. He was the “golden boy” of Avis Wren, was loved by all and was known for his generous spirit. He especially enjoyed his pit bulldog, Briar Patch Anderson. A Baptist by faith, he gave the “gift of life” in death by being an organ donor.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Nettleton Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with cousins, Vance Kimble and Derald “Bubba” McCaleb speaking. Burial will follow in Jones Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer O’Neil Anderson of Plantersville; his son, Austin Anderson of Greenwood Springs; three stepdaughters, Savannah Gist, Samantha Gist and Ashley Brown all of the home; his parents, Fred and Etoy Anderson of Nettleton; one sister, Tisha Anderson of Amory; two brothers, twins Tom Anderson (Brandy) of Tupelo and Don Anderson of Nettleton. A half brother, Fred “Andy” Anderson of Saltillo. His mother and father-in-law, Fred and Sally O’Neil of Portersville, Calif.; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jason Price, Cade Cook, Josh Hall, Dale Sullivan, Allen Barnett and Ronnie Gibson.
Honorary pallbearers will be his brothers, Tom, Don and Fred and his children.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. today and at 1 p.m. until service time on Tuesday all at the Nettleton Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors.

Judy Lampkin
GUNTOWN – Judy Letson Lampkin, 57, died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. She was a retired nurse and a member of the Unity Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and daughter. She enjoyed gardening and helping others.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Unity Baptist Church with Bro. Eddie Boutwell and Dr. Roger McGrew officiating with burial in the Unity Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband of 20 years Kyle Lampkin of Euless, Texas; two sons, Robert Lampkin of Euless, Texas, Staff Sargent Kenneth Letson U.S. Air Force (Crystal) of San Antonio, Texas; grandsons, Blake and Bentley Letson of San Antonio, Texas; parents, Lawrence and Jo Ann Letson of the Unity Community; one brother, David Letson (Terran) of Unity; three sisters, Susan Williams (Cliff) of Unity, Alice Holcomb (Tony) of Unity, Elizabeth Johnson (Mike) of Unity, and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lucille and Arnold Letson.
Pallbearers will be Tony Holcomb, Mike Johnson, Kevin Lampkin, Doug Pounders, Rick Chandler and Dale Letson. Nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 5 until 9 p.m. Tuesday at Waters Funeral Home. The body will lie in state at Unity Baptist Church one hour prior to service time.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo or The National Brain Tumor Society.

Robert Smith
MOOREVILLE – Robert Gene “Bobby” Smith, 78, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at Community Hospice in Verona. He was born on February 13, 1933, in Monroe County to Elvis and Ruth Manuel Smith. He lived in Nettleton and Mooreville for the past 20 years. He attended Pine Grove School and graduated from Shannon High School. He married Annette Bowen on January 19, 1952, in Fulton. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean War from 1953-1955. He was employed in construction and at Bassett in Saltillo, retiring in 1997. He was a member of Boguefala Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, his CB radio and spending time with his family. His hobbies were outside work in his garden and flower garden.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home with Bro David Perry officiating. Burial will be in Boguefala Cemetery. E.E. Pickle Funeral Home of Amory is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Annette Bowen Smith; sons, Terry Smith (Kim), Robert Smith, Keith Smith; daughters, Sylvia Conwill (Jimmy), Karen Flemming (Tony), Mitzie McBrayer (Tim), LaWanda Smith (Andy McCarrh); 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Hoyle, Herbert, Harold and Baby Boy Smith.
Pallbearers will be Joey Smith, Nick Smith, Chris Conwill, Tony Conwill, Jason Grant and Wade Smith.
Visitation will be today until time for the service to begin.
