Ole Miss Lyceum evacuated, reopened

According to reports, the Lyceum at the University of Mississippi has been evacuated.

An Ole Miss emergency alert states:

“A suspicious package was received at the Lyceum. The area is contained and Lyceum has been evacuated. Police, fire, and Emergency Management personnel are on the scene. Please avoid the Lyceum area until further notice to allow emergency personnel adequate room to work.”

An update sent around 5 p.m. stated: “The suspicious package was evaluated and no danger was found by HAZMAT team. The Lyceum has been reopened.”
