BLUE MOUNTAIN – A Blue Mountain man faces charges after investigators said he broke into a business and school in recent days.

Matthew Ryan Mclellen, 33 is being held in the Tippah County Jail on three counts of burglary, Chief Deputy Chris McCallister said Thursday.

Investigators believe Mclellen broke into Yates Furniture last week, damaged a soft drink machine and took an undetermined amount of change.

Before dawn Monday, Feb. 27, McCallister believes Mclellen broke into Blue Mountain School and took some snacks, then broke into Yates Furniture again, damaged a soft drink machine again and again took an undetermined amount of change.

Shortly after the Monday break-ins, Mclellen was seen putting the snacks into a truck, and authorities were notified. The snacks were recovered, but the money was not.
