TISHOMINGO – Sheriff’s deputies have charged one man with attempted murder following a Friday evening shooting in Tishomingo County.

Herbert Lee Bennett, 57, was charged with attempted murder after police allege he fired a bullet at a woman’s head.

The woman was taken to the North Mississippi Medical Center for treatment and is in good condition, according to Assistant Chief Deputy Jeff Palmer of the Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Office.
