One dead after shooting at Tupelo nightclub

TUPELO ? Tupelo Police are investigating a New Year?s shooting at a local night club that left one Tupelo man dead.

On Saturday at approximately 1:36 am Tupelo Police Department officers responded to multiple gunshots at Club Icon, 2207 McCullough Blvd, Tupelo, according to a TPD press release.

The officers found the victim lying on the ground at the entrance of the business with apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Bradley Triplett, 20, of Tupelo was the victim according to Lee County Coroner Carolyn Gillentine-Green.

The Tupelo Police Department does have a person of interest in custody. The investigation continues as detectives are conducting interviews and processing evidence.
