UPDATE 3:35 p.m.

A Tupelo man died Tuesday afternoon around 3 p.m. at the North Mississippi Medical Center from a gunshot wound sustained early this morning in a family dispute.

Tupelo Police Lt. Jerry Davis said they are not releasing the victim’s name until family has been notified.

Latosha Isby, 27, of Tupelo, was taken into police custody shortly after the 2 a.m. shooting as a suspect and was later charged with aggravated assault. Her charge was upgraded to murder, according to Davis.

The gunshot wound was from a handgun, but Davis said they aren’t releasing more info about the weapon currently due to the ongoing investigation.

Isby allegedly shot a family member on Bryson Drive after they got into an early morning dispute Tuesday. Isby was later taken into custody when Tupelo police officers found her at an apartment complex in the city.

Isby will be arraigned on the charge of murder Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the Lee County Justice Court.

TUPELO – A man was injured in an overnight shooting.

Tupelo police said the alleged victim, whose name isn’t being released at this time, was shot after a family dispute on Bryson Drive around 2 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The injured man is being treated at North Mississippi Medical Center. Officers located a suspect shortly after the shooting in a Tupelo apartment complex and took the suspect into custody.
