Fly fishing, rock climbing and hiking clinics will be featured in September at a Tupelo outdoors retailer.
Harris Magruder, owner and operator of Trails & Treads, 1715 McCullough Blvd., Suite F, said he wants to have hands-on training for outdoors enthusiasts who want to learn the early techniques.
“These are strictly basic lessons for beginners,” Magruder said. “For the fly fishing, we will take two days for the clinic – one day to learn the techniques, then Saturday we will go out on the lake.”
In August, Magruder sponsored a Bear Creek kayaking adventure and a bicycle seminar. The schedule for September includes:
n Fly fishing seminar, Sept. 1-2, $60 fee.
n Rock climbing trip at Tishomingo State Park, Sept. 2, $30 fee.
n Hiking “how-to” seminar, Sept. 18, no charge.
