OXFORD — The city of Oxford has more than $47 million in capital projects coming up and figuring out how to fund those projects can take some thought and planning.
The Oxford Eagle reports that city planners have presented aldermen with a list of all current and upcoming capital projects.
City Planner Bart Robinson says the list changes as projects move up and down in priority and funding options change.
To help fund some projects, such as the Emergency Operations Center, the city may need to take out short-term notes and/or bonds unless grant money becomes available.
Also planned for the coming year are $11 million worth of water and sewer projects, however, these are all funded from within the city’s water and sewer budget.
