Oxford High named to ‘America’s Best’ list

JACKSON – Oxford High School was among four Mississippi schools to be named to Newsweek’s list of “America’s Best High Schools” for 2013.
Others to make the list were the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science (ranked 352nd), Center Hill High (1,617th) and DeSoto Central High (1,679th). Oxford was ranked 1,732nd. It is the second year for MSMS on the list.
Compiled by Newsweek and The Daily Beast, the list ranks the best 2,000 public high schools in the nation. It uses six factors including graduation rate, college acceptance rate and test scores.
