OXFORD – Volunteers with specialized interest, knowledge and experience are sought to fill a vacancy on each of several boards and commissions in the city of Oxford.
The Tree Board position implements and recommends updates to the city’s Tree Plan.
The Historic Preservation Commission attends to matters related to the community’s historic value, including districts, individual buildings and codes in four designated residential preservation districts.
The Oxford-Lafayette County Economic Development Foundation seeks new business and supports existing industry.
The Oxford School Board sets policy, oversees the budget and makes personnel decisions for the city’s school campuses.
Oxford residents are preferred but not required for most of the vacant positions. For the School Board position, residency is a requirement.
