OXFORD – Mayor Pat Patterson and Parking Director Matt Davis will meet with Downtown Parking Commission members, possibly this week, to discuss bids for 315 parking meters.
The Commission declined to make a recommendation at its meeting Monday, with several members saying they had too little information and conflicting signals about city officials’ priorities. Patterson and Davis were in Chicago meeting with meter manufacturers when the Commission met.
Patterson is confident the two can answer Commission members’ concerns.
“We’re going to accept the lowest and best in two weeks,” he said at Tuesday’s Board of Aldermen meeting.
