PEARL — A Rankin County grand jury will consider the evidence against a couple accused of leaving their infant in a hot car in Flowood, WLBT TV reports.

Police say the 7-month-old child survived after being left in a black Chevy Tahoe in a Walmart parking lot last Saturday afternoon.

The baby’s parents, 36-year-old Thomas Morris of Fort Worth, Texas, and his 28-year-old wife Theresa Sheppard, were arrested and booked with child neglect. Sheppard also was booked with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
