CORINTH – A Corinth woman was in critical condition at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis on Tuesday after being struck while walking on North Parkway Street on Monday night.
Vanity Brown, 19, was walking in the northbound lane on North Parkway about 8:25 p.m. Monday when she was struck by a 2001 Mazda Tribute, driven by Haley Christian, 17, said Chief David Lancaster.
No charges are expected to be filed, the chief said, as an examination of the scene indicates the driver took evasive action to avoid hitting the victim and excessive speed was not a factor.
The accident remains under investigation, he said.
