Percy Sledge headlines Walthall concert

TYLERTOWN, Miss. (AP) — Percy Sledge, best-known for his 1960s hit song “When a Man Loves a Woman,” will headline Walthall County’s Artist Blues & Country Cancer Benefit Concert at the Southwest Events Center in Tylertown on Nov. 5.

Doors will open at noon, with performances from local artists preceding Sledge, who will take the stage at 7 p.m.

The Enterprise-Journal reported ( ) tickets are $20 in advance and $30 at the gate. Active and inactive military members are eligible for $20 tickets admitting two people with military ID.

Other acts include the Shed Shakers of Tylertown, Chris Flowers and the Louisiana Express Band, blues singer Charles Blakely and MC D.J. Majik.
