Personal care home resident arrested

BELDEN – A resident of a personal care home in Lee County has been arrested for stealing and using the credit card of another resident.
Attorney General Jim Hood said Jerry Taylor, 47, was indicted by a Lee County grand jury on one count of procuring money, goods or services with intent to defraud.
At the time the crime was alleged, Taylor was a resident of Rosewood Personal Care Home in Belden. The victim was also a resident of Rosewood.
Taylor allegedly used the victim’s credit card to make purchases totaling $3,207.61 in gas, gift cards, food and other goods and services.
Taylor was booked into the Lee County Jail on Thursday and bond was set at $5,000. If found guilty, he faces a fine of $1,000 and up to three years in prison.
