Pham pleads guilty to pot, cash scheme

By NEMS Daily Journal

OXFORD – Minthu Pham becomes the 22nd defendant to plead guilty in a major regional federal drug case.
Pham, no address listed, admitted Tuesday to one count that he conspired with others to possess and sell marijuana.
The three-page charge against him says he concealed the marijuana and its sales proceeds in a vehicle and did not report it “as soon as possible” to civil authorities. He faces up to three years in prison, a $250,000 fine or both.
That leaves only two other defendants, plus two fugitives, still to be considered out of 26 originally accused in an alleged scheme to sell powder cocaine and pot.
No one will be sentenced until completion of a report by the U.S. Probation Service on each convicted person.
