PHILADELPHIA, Miss. (AP) — City officials have agreed that the Philadelphia Fire Department will respond to any report of fire at the Neshoba County Fairgrounds as part of the initial dispatch.
The Neshoba Democrat reports that the decision came after a fire destroyed 15 cabins earlier this month and after emergency responders had sought ways to better prepare for such blazes.
Fire Chief Pierce Clark says one company of firefighters plus an engine would respond to the Fairgrounds as part of any initial report of fire or other emergency at the Fair.
A company is composed of three firefighters.
