TUPELO – Pierce Street Elementary principal Kenneth Goralczyk announced to his staff on Thursday that he won’t be back at the school next year because he is pursuing another opportunity that hasn’t yet been finalized. He also announced the news in a message to parents.

Goralczyk is in his second year leading the third- to fifth-grade school.

The news means Tupelo will be looking to fill two elementary school vacancies. Rankin Elementary Principal Paul Moton will move to Milam Elementary next year to replace the retiring Travis Beard.
