TUPELO – United Brothers and Sisters reached out to the homeless Saturday for a day of fellowship and hope.
Mack Turner, founder of the organization and a member of the city’s homeless task force, teamed up with Little Caesar’s Pizza at Hancock Park and fed seven homeless people who sleep under a bridge on North Gloster Street near Wendy’s.
Several people showed up, including radio personalities from 95.1.
“This is something I hold near and dear to my heart,” said Turner. “I won’t rest until I have every one of them away from under that bridge and into a home.”
