Plantersville employee bit by dog while on job

By NEMS Daily Journal

PLANTERSVILLE – Meter reader Terry Roberts was bit by a dog on Hickory Lane earlier this week.
Roberts, a Plantersville Water Department employee, was injured and received medical attention.
The dog and a stray were nabbed by police. Currently, they are in quarantine at the Tupelo-Lee Humane Society where they will be watched for 10 days. Neither has rabies tags.
Stray dogs are a rapidly growing problem, the police chief said, with a pack of dogs reportedly killing a cow and calf last weekend.
