Plantersville police work alleged road rage shooting

PLANTERSVILLE – Police were searching Friday for a suspect reportedly involved in a road rage shooting.
According to Plantersville Police Chief Maury Schuh, the report of shots fired took place on East Central Street at Oak Point Drive about 5:45 p.m. Friday.
He said a Plantersville resident was attempting to make a turn into his subdivision when a gray/silver Jeep Grand Cherokee almost rear-ended him. The driver of the Jeep Grand Cherokee then drove around the victim attempting to make a turn. The driver then stopped his Jeep and took a pistol out from under the front seat and fired three or four shots at the victim’s car. The suspect then drove west on County Road 814 toward the Richmond area.
No injuries were reported.
The suspect is a white male wearing a gray T-shirt and blue jeans. He was driving a dirty gray/silver Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Plantersville Police will charge the man with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon if he is apprehended.
