Plea expected in sex offender registration case

OXFORD (AP) – A man charged with failing to register as a sex offender in Lee County is expected to plead guilty in the case.

The indictment in the case charges Tyrae Jamison with failing to register as a sex offender between Aug. 1, 2012 and July 13, 2013.

A filing in U.S. District Court in Oxford said Jamison is scheduled for a change of plea hearing on Thursday.

Jamison is required to register as a sex offender because he was convicted of sexual battery in Lee County in 2005.
