COLUMBUS — Columbus police have made a second arrest in the 1997 death of an elderly man.

Police Chief Selvain McQueen says 47-year-old Curtis Hinton turned himself in Thursday. Bond was set at $2 million in an initial court appearance.

Hinton and 44-year-old Earnest Talley are charged with capital murder in the death of the 70-year-old Wilbanks. Wilbanks’ body was found inside his apartment in November of 1997.

Talley was arrested in February and is being held without bond.
