POLICE REPORTS

The following reports were filed Friday, Feb. 16, through Sunday, Feb. 18, with the Tupelo Police Department and Wednesday, Feb. 14, through Friday, Feb. 16, with the Lee County Sheriff’s Department.

Tupelo Police

Feb. 16

– An employee of Tupelo Auto Sales on South Gloster Street reported an attempted auto burglary.

– A Mount Vernon Road resident reported the theft of four hubcaps taken from a 1987 Pontiac 6000.

– An employee of the Palace nightclub on South Gloster Street reported someone broke into the business and took a variety of electronic equipment and musical items totaling more than $14,000.

– An employee of Nash Plumbing on South Green Street reported the theft of a DC adapter and a Motorola gold series radio taken from a 1992 Ford.

– An employee of Sack and Save on Industrial Road reported the shoplifting of a case of Miller Lite beer.

– A West Jefferson Street resident reported the theft of three trash cans.

– A Rankin Boulevard resident reported someone cut the tires on his race car.

– A County Road 325, Tupelo, resident reported the theft of a red 1988 Chevrolet Silverado, 4X4 Stepside taken while he was in the Mall at Barnes Crossing.

– A Bryan Drive resident reported being harassed.

– A security officer at the Mall at Barnes Crossing reported seeing a person who had been banned from the mall trespassing at the mall.

– A Tupelo police officer reported seeing a car drive slowly through a set of apartments near Pierce Street and Fillmore Street and pulled him over when the officer noticed that he did not have on a seat belt. The officers searched the vehicle and found a marijuana cigarette.

– A Tupelo police officer reported responding to a domestic situation on Mound Street where the man was arrested after disobeying an officer’s order.

Feb. 17

– A McNeese Street resident reported someone ran over his mailbox.

– A Feemster Lake resident reported the theft of garbage can.

– A North Madison Street resident reported losing a purse.

– A Archdale, N.C., resident reported the theft of a 1995 Chevrolet truck. A variety of items were left in the truck including golf clubs, ski clothes, a gold Seiko watch, a signet ring, a Toshiba 400 CDT computer with printer, Adidas running shoes, a 35mm camera, clothes and other items.

– An employee of Tupelo Water and Light Department on North Front Street reported a customer on Rogers Lane had altered his meter to not register the correct amount of electricity that was being used.

– A Lakeview Street resident reported finding a black briefcase that had been lost.

– A Rollingwood Drive resident reported the theft of a 1987 Pontiac car.

– Wal-Mart SuperCenter on North Gloster Street reported the shoplifting attempt of a Black and Decker cordless drill. A suspect was caught.

– A Magazine Street resident reported a man whom he did some electrical work for would not pay for the service.

– An employee of Fred’s Dollar Store on Varsity Drive reported the shoplifting of a bottle of Tylenol P.M. A suspect was caught.

– An employee of Fred’s Dollar Store on Varsity Drive reported the shoplifting of a tube of Cover Girl Berry Brown lipstick. A suspect was caught.

– An employee of Movies 8 at the Mall at Barnes Crossing reported someone broke into a pinball machine.

– A Lansdowne Drive resident reported someone burned his yard.

– A Tupelo police officer reported making a drug arrest on Lawndale Avenue.

– A South Green Street resident reported the theft of a Zenith VCR.

– An employee of Baber’s Leasing on South Gloster Street reported he was assaulted when he went to a Presley Circle location to collect payment.

– An employee of Holiday Inn Express on North Gloster Street reported a Winnebago drove into the company’s canopy, tearing a piece off.

Feb. 18

– A Baldwyn resident reported someone broke the windshield on his 1993 Honda Accord.

– A Foot Brown Road, Fulton, resident reported an auto burglary. A radar detector was stolen.

– An employee of Traveler’s Motel on North Gloster Street reported someone set the carpet on fire in one of the rooms. No one was in the room when the fire was extinguished.

– Wal-Mart SuperCenter on North Gloster Street reported someone attempted to break into a company vehicle.

– A Summertree Drive resident reported the theft of a Motorola bag phone.

– A Bruce resident reported the theft of a cellular phone and a Smith and Wesson .38 caliber handgun taken from his truck while it was parked at a North Gloster Street shopping location.

– An employee of All American Inn on East Main Street reported someone drove through the motel’s flower bed.

– A Wendover Drive resident reported the theft of a flip phone and an adapter taken from his 1995 Mazda car while it was parked in front of his home.

– A Wendover Drive resident reported someone damaged a convertible top on her 1994 Mazda car while it was parked in front of her home.

– A Summertree Drive, Belden, resident reported the theft of a Walkie-Talkie phone.

– An employee of Kroger’s on Industrial Road reported the shoplifting attempt of a pack of cigarettes. A suspect was caught.

– A security guard from Saltillo working at the Furniture Market reported a customer hit him with his vehicle after the security guard attempted to stop the man from exiting the market with his purchase.

– A Tupelo resident reported losing his wallet.

– A Feemster Lake Road resident reported the theft of a bicycle.

– A Canal Street resident reported a trespassing.

– An Amory resident reported the unauthorized use of a 1981 Chevrolet Malibu

– A Barley Courts resident reported the theft of a 1994 Mazda 929.

Lee Sheriff’s

Feb. 14

– A County Road 117, Tupelo, resident reported a break-in. A Magnavox VCR, a CD and player, a television, a tape player, two pairs of clippers and a pair of Nike shoes were stolen.

– A County Road 1349 resident reported his wife took his 1984 GMC truck after an argument.

Feb. 15

– A County Road 810 resident reported the theft of two hub caps and a tank of gasoline.

– A Route 4, Tupelo, resident reported her next door neighbor had been putting crushed ice and some sort of liquid in a bottle and shaking it. It has been making a loud noise.

– A Route 2, Saltillo, resident reported a girl staying in her home had stolen a credit card and had been using it to make long distance calls.

– A County Road 331, Route 2, Guntown, resident reported someone shot her dog.

Feb. 16

– A County Road 199 resident reported someone broke into her home by going through the back doors.
