Police seek suspects in Columbus shooting

COLUMBUS, Miss. (AP) — Police in Columbus say an early morning shooting injured one man.

Interim Police Chief Selvain McQueen told The Dispatch (http://bit.ly/oauce5 ) that people called police early Tuesday and reported hearing as many as 25 gunshots.

The newspaper reported that 45-year-old John Easley Jr. of Columbus was shot once in the arm and once in the hip. He was reported in stable condition after surgery.

McQueen said police were searching for multiple suspects.
