Pontotoc board considers splash pad presentation

PONTOTOC – Splash pad designers and builders Joe and Neil Couvillion of Starkville want to build a water attraction in Pontotoc.
A splash pad is a concreted area designed with numerous water stations which are equipped with multiple in-ground sprinkler heads.
Aldermen recently were shown design drawings of two splash pads which the Couvillions are building in Kosciusko and Starkville.
“The ones we’re building there are about 1,800 square feet and run between $125,000 and $175,000, depending on landscaping and other options,” said Joe Couvillion.
The board took the matter under advisement and will discuss it more at this month’s meeting.
