PONTOTOC – City schools were in precautionary standby mode Friday morning to ensure students’ safety.
Pontotoc City Schools Superintendent Karen Tutor said police called the schools about a domestic dispute between two adults. Since there was no active intruder on the campus, the district allowed the students to move freely and have classes but lock the front door and have someone at the front doors checking everyone who came in.
According to officials, an arrest was made in the situation. Police did not release those names.
