Pontotoc man elected to state school board

PONTOTOC – Danny Robbins, a member of the Pontotoc County School Board, was recently elected to the Mississippi School Board Association’s board of directors. He will serve a two-year term from Jan. 1, 2014, through Dec. 31, 2015.

Robbins, who is in his third year on the Pontotoc County School Board, has worked in education for 36 years. His tenure includes stops at Tupelo High School and at Itawamba Community College, where he served as associate dean on the Tupelo campus. He earned a master’s degree from Mississippi State University.
