PONTOTOC – Three people were arrested and 27 pounds of marijuana was seized Thursday when state and federal agents served a warrant at a Pontotoc home.

Arrested were: Betty D. Gordon, 41, 498 Park Ave.; Yona Jan Steele, 35, 279 Ponderosa Drive; and, Ronald Leslie Tutor, 33, 265 Eighth St. Each was charged with possession of marijuana, more than an ounce, with intent to distribute.

The trio are expected to appear before a Pontotoc County Justice Court judge today for their initial appearances and to have bonds set.

All three were arrested at Gordon’s home about 3 p.m. Thursday. Authorities found 27 pounds of marijuana bundled up in the home. The dried plants had a street value of about $55,000, said a Mississippi Highway Patrol criminal investigator.
