BOONEVILLE – Prentiss County Schools Superintendent Randle Downs has been discharged from the hospital and continues to recover at home.
Acting Superintendent Todd Sweeney said he spoke with Downs last week and though Downs is better, no specific time frame has been given when he may return to work.
Federal Programs Coordinator Luke Ledbetter has returned to work while also continuing to recover from injuries he received in a four-vehicle wreck along with Downs on Aug. 22. Jason McKinney, school district curriculum coordinator and transportation director, died of injuries he suffered in the wreck.
Dylan G. King, 20, of Corinth, was charged with one count of leaving the scene of an accident in which a death occurred and two additional counts of leaving the scene of an accident with injuries.
