Presley levies $15,000 fines for telemarketer

Public Service Commission Chairman Brandon Presley, D-Nettleton, announced Friday that the PSC has fined a New Jersey telemarketer $15,000 for violations of the Mississippi “No-Call” law.
Presley said CDG Management, LLC, doing business as Civic Development Group, violated the No-Call law by contacting Mississippians who had placed their home phone number on the “No-Call” list. Company representatives failed to respond to the PSC’s complaint.
Presley said the company is registered with the PSC and has provided a $50,000 surety bond. The $15,000 in fines will be deducted from the bond.
