Project Hope seeks grant applications from area

Project Hope is accepting grant applications through April 15 from area organizations that assist with education, prevention and treatment for heart disease, cancer and diabetes.
Founded in 1998, Project Hope is a group of local volunteers dedicated to community health improvement. Because heart disease and cancer are the leading causes of death in the United States, and diabetes can take a devastating toll on a person’s health, Project Hope specifically targets these diseases.
Project Hope’s goals are to assist organizations that serve needy patients who suffer from heart disease, cancer or diabetes; assist those at risk for these diseases through prevention, education and intervention; and support national research to find a cure.
Grant applications are available at www.projecthopems.com or by calling 662-377-3867. Funding decisions will be announced in May.
