Proposals sought for access road in Alcorn County

CORINTH – Construction could begin by mid-December on the much-anticipated Kimberly-Clark access road to connect the Kendrick Road plant to U.S. 72 east.
Alcorn County supervisors announced Monday that requests for construction proposals have been advertised and the bid opening is scheduled for 10 a.m. Nov. 10.
If an acceptable bid is received on the more than $12 million project, the winning contractor will have 300 working days to complete the project, said Cook Coggin Engineers President Kent Geno.
