ABERDEEN – All Public Works departments soon will be in one location with the city of Aberdeen purchasing the old Tombigbee equipment facility off Highway 45 South.
The building will house all public utilities for the city of Aberdeen, including electric, water and sanitation, said Mayor Cecil Belle.
Belle said the new facility has the space to store all the city’s equipment and service vehicles. The building also includes about 14 acres of land.
The board agreed to purchase the property with a five-year loan at the lowest possible interest rate.
