FULTON – Residents soon may be able to receive curbside recycling pickup as part of their regular services, but only if they express an interest.
The Board of Aldermen is considering adding Fulton’s name to the growing list of north Mississippi cities that currently receive regular pickup of recyclable materials.
In order for recyclable goods to be picked up, residents would have to give up one regular day of garbage pickup each month. Recycling would be picked up that day instead.
The board is expected to meet with Marty Dunkin of Waste Connections to discuss the recycling program at 6 p.m. May 15 in the Fulton City Hall board room.
