Remains found in Aberdeen belong to missing woman

JACKSON – The human remains found on Peacock Alley in Aberdeen Friday are that of Teresa Ewing, 25, of Aberdeen, according to Monroe County Coroner Alan Gurley.

Gurley said, in a press release, he attended the autopsy Saturday morning along with Aberdeen Police Chief Henry Randle and “from visual evidence we are confident,” the remains belong to Ewing.

Ewing was reported missing by her family on Aug. 25.

The body will remain in the custody of the state medical examiner fro further examination.
